Italian Mesozoic Carbonate Oil Fields: CORE EXIBITION The main Italian Carbonate Fields are illustrated through a selection of cores, representative of the Reservoir Rock and, in some cases, of the Source Rock as well TRECATE-VILLAFORTUNA FIELDS Each reservoir deals with Various Reservoir Typology and represents different Italian petroleum system GARGANO OUTCROPS & AQUILA FIELD S.MARIA FIELD & CAMPANIA OUTCROPS Being the surface geology an important key for the knowledge of the subsurface, each hydrocarbon play is supported by a description of the outcropping analogue successions MONTE ALPI FIELDS & MURGE OUTCROUP The sedimentological studies as the high resolution stratigraphy on outcrop coring represents a tool to better understand the subsurface successions GELA-IRMINIO FIELDS EAGE Florence 2002

Italian Mesozoic Carbonate Oil Fields: CORE EXIBITION FRACTURE CHARACTERIZATION IN CARBONATE RESERVOIRS The VAL D’AGRI (Basilicata) oil fields produce from fractured cretaceous carbonate platform succession. Thefracturation study is performed on the well cores and images log, in order to better understand the fracture trends. Cretaceous analogue successions are largely exposed in Murge area (Puglia) where they have been studied to construct a geological model for the subsurface Main menu EAGE Florence 2002
