  1. Get Radial Engines for Best Performance of the Machine Radial engines are the powerhouse of RC planes/UAVs. As compared to another type of engines the radial engines are simpler and shorter crankshafts. An engine is one of the most important constituents of a machine, so it becomes very important to select an engine which consumes less fuel. The engine of a machine works like a four-stroke internal combustion engine where each cylinder has an intake power, exhaust stroke, and compression. The working mechanism of a radial engine completely depends on the number of cylinders. It is highly recommended to use two spark plugs per cylinder. Radial Engines and their uses The flyers generally use radial engines. To get the maximum power, it is highly recommended to add multiple rows of the cylinder. The multiple rows of cylinder will help to generate maximum power. In other words, the more is the number of cylinders the more is the horsepower. But on the other side, it is important to make sure that all the cylinders are developing the necessary power to pull the main engine.

  2. It has been observed that when cylinders are configured with two spark plugs the performance of the engine is efficient and smooth. According to a research the dual spark plugs help to improve the radial engine ignition system. The below-mentioned reasons will help to justify the need for two spark plugs in radial engine cylinders. (1.)Efficiency: - The main benefitof using the dual spark plug ignition is efficiency. The engine requires a less amount of power boost up which is generated from the spark plug. In the adverse situation if one spark plug fails another one will maintain the RPM without any issue. A radial engine ignition system with two spark plugs is more efficient than an engine with a single spark plug. (2.)Power: - Every flyer wants more and more power for their engines. The maximum generation of power is only possible with the help of twin spark ignition. When two spark ignition fires at the same time a twin fire is ensured in the cylinder. A twin fire setup ensures the quick burning within the cylinder. (3.)Combustion: - The dual spark ignition is the combination of the fuel-air mixture which burns from the edges of the cylinder. The intensity of the burning is higher in the dual setup as compared to the single spark plug. So it is better to use a dual spark ignition in the radial engine. The radial engines are one of the most reliable and efficient engine systems with dual spark plug configuration. The use of this spark plug helps to increase the performance of the radial engines.
