  11. Chinese Communist Party (Chinese Government) began to see Falun Gong as a threat to their power. It became intensely jealous as so many people following a way of life that was not complete under their control and whose numbers were far greater than the Communist Party membership. As a result, Chinese Government started a relentless persecution against Falun Dafa from 1999.

Persecution and Genocide • Since July 1999 the Chinese Communist Party’s relentless persecution of Falun Dafa has affected the lives of 70-100 million people and their families • Hundreds of thousands are sent to Chinese labour camps without trial, brainwashed, tortured and pressured to denounce their belief • Out of over 250,000 in detention, half are Falun Dafa practitioners • Over 3,427 practitioners have been tortured to death by Chinese authorities
