Introduction • A Television is a medium used for transmitting moving images in black and white or color or may be in 2D or 3D. • There are various technologies and display resolutions in which a television is available. • Television is a mediumused for advertising, entertainment and news. • In the older days and during its invention there were CRT display screen which looked like a box with the machinery fitted backwards and a bump type at the back. • The different inventions have converted it to a slim body like a book or a board.

  3. Types of Television There are various types of TV’s classified based on the technology and resolution of the TV. The table describes various types of TV as per Technology and Resolution.

  4. CRT & DLP TV’s • CRT also known as Cathode Ray Tubes are box type TV’s which used to be like a box and heavy in material and weight. • These TV’s used to have multiple CRT tubes which would deflect electron beams which would create images.

  5. LED and UHD TV’s • LED and UHD are thin plate like systems which seem to be like a book or a board. • These TV also come in 4K models which give you a 3D or 4D view of the movie at home.
