Lessons From PFnet Model in Solomon Islands: • Tyranny of Distance is not a barrier for rural poor. • It is based on community ownership and partnership • It is affordable by rural people ($0.26) • It provides quick and efficient communications system • It has improved literacy level of rural people • It has helped rural people to generate commercial activities to uplift their living standards. • It can be used to reconcile ethnic conflicts.
