  1. Haiti Earthquake 2010Fundraising Event The Raglan Junior School, January 2010Sic Vos Non VobisThus do we, not for ourselves.

  2. Where is Haiti?

  3. Background • Discovered in 1492 by Christopher Columbus • A predominantly French speaking country • Home to 8.7 million people • January 12th 2010 - Haiti was hit by a massive earthquake • Haiti was already one of the poorest countries in the world with a very unstable government and history of civil war

  4. Wear red and bring in £1

  5. How can we help? • A gift of £10 could provide clean water for a family – 1 class of 30 children can provide 3 families with clean water supplies • There is a severe lack of medical supplies and medically trained staff – our money could pay for a UN doctor to go to Haiti to help take care of the survivors.
