  1. 5 Things To Do In Your Placement Year As soon as you enrol in a degree program, you just can’t wait for your placement year! Placements are the best opportunities to put what you’ve learnt during your course into practice. This out-of- the-world experience can prove to be beneficial not only professionally but personally as well. Below are 5 things you should do as soon as you enter your placement year. 1.Set some goals for yourself: As soon as you enter your placement year, it is important to set some personal goals in order to track how much you have progressed over the year. You can set targets such as learning a new skill, register for some additional workshops to have an edge over others, work hard to overcome any hatred/fear for a particular subject etc. Companies are rather interested in your additional skills than your academic grades. Why not try and gain as many new skills to put on your CV? 2.Don’t be shy: Step out of your shy zone and push yourself to interact and know more. IT doesn’t matter if you make mistakes! It is important for you to communicate and socialize with other students. This will let you and your fellow mates both, help each other and enjoy the experience. One of the best engineering colleges in Jaipur, Poornima Group of colleges, offers additional programmes apart from regular curriculum to help polish your communication skills in order to achieve maximum in your placements. 3.Ask as many questions: If there is something you don’t understand, don’t be afraid to ask your faculty. You are here to learn and you will thank yourself someday! It also shows your faculty that you are keen to learn and they would do their best to ensure you get out the best out of your placement year. 4.Always Keep a record of your achievements: It is very important to keep a track of everything you have learnt and achieved until your placement year. Recruiters are much interested to have a look at your achievements. Add them on your CV as failing to this, there will be nothing that would make you stand out of the crowd. This one year of your placement will soon fly by! Give everything you’ve got and make the most of the experience.
