  3. Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple is a temple situated in Tiruchanur which is at a distance of around 5 Km from the Tirupati. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi, who was the wife of Sri Venkateshwara Swami. This temple is situated at a distance of 30km from Sri Venkateshwara Swami temple. History of the temple History of the temple- - Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple is also known as Alamelu mangapuram Temple because it is believed that Goddess Lakshmi was born as Alamelu and married to Venkateshwara Swami of Tirupati. She used to appear and give darshan to Lord Venkateshwara on a lotus at the temple. Alamelumangapuram has a meaning in each word like ala stands for lotus and Mel means top. Manga denotes to the Goddess, and Puram indicates the village or the town. There is a Sarovar in Sri Padmavati temple which is known as Padmasoravaram. It is said that the goddess gave darshan to Lord Venkateshwara in this Sarovar on the lotus, having thousands of petals only during the day of Sukla Paksha Panchami in Kartheeka Masam. Then visit Varaha Swamy temple at Tirumala Visit Lord Venkateshwara temple after which the worship ends. Conclusion So, we can say that Goddess Padmavathi is another form of Goddess Lakshmi married to Lord Venkateshwara Swami. Many tourists visit the temple of Sri Padmavathi Ammavari to get the blessings of Goddess Padmavathi as she is considered as the goddess of wealth and prosperity and also as this is the oldest temple of Tirupati.
