  1. Alcohol is one of the most commonly abused substances worldwide. It might be because of its legal status in a number of countries. Frequent and continuous use of alcohol over long period of time leads to alcohol addiction. Alcohol being a central nervous system (CNS) depressant slows down the functions of brain and spinal cord.

  2. Your CNS gets used to working in the presence of alcohol and shows certain signs and symptoms in the absence of it.
