For both of this to happen, you should have a united airline app ready on your mobile. You will see a QR on your device and hold the same over the barcode scanner and then print your boarding pass. You cannot print from your mobile device but the app, but you can send the mobile boarding pass to your email in the PDF format and print from an app that can print PDF files.
