The Roads & Highways forum is a platform for key stakeholders of the highways sector to discuss and share ideas via case studies and key points on road transport. The conclave will highlight case studies on design and development, engineering, funding, road safety, smart mobility, and new technologies for the growth and development of road infrastructure. The event is being jointly organized by Marcus Evans Group and the International Road Federation (IRF), Geneva, Switzerland. “Roads and highways of the future” is the focal point of the Congress. Various touch points related to the focal point of the Congress will be covered by experts from the roads and highways and construction industries. The experts will shed light on industry best practices and procedures essential for “the restructuring of the urban landscape.” The congregation will involve collective sharing of knowledge between delegates via case studies and keynote presentations. Integrating IT into the highway project lifecycle to enhance the speed and quality of construction Performing a cost analysis to improve the economic benefits and maximize investment benefits Electronic Toll Collection to minimize congestion and ensure faster mobility Besides these, Akhilesh Srivastava, along with two other delegates, will present an analysis on the impact of OBOR on Asia. For those of you who aren’t aware of the initiative: OBOR’s objective is to build trade routes between China and the rest of Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and countries situated on the shore of Indian and the Pacific. OBOR has been bifurcated into two parts: Silk Road Economic Belt: It will connect China with Central Asia, Eastern, and Western Europe by road. 21st Century Maritime Silk Road: It will connect China to South-East Asia, Africa, and Central Asia through water route. In the more recent news, viewing his achievements in the public sector, the Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) bestowed the Vishwakarma Award for Public Officer to the NHAI CGM. #AkhileshSrivastava #SmartHighways #ATMS #ETC
