1. Karadi Tales • Karadi Tales is a children's publishing house based in Chennai, India. Karadi Tales was begun in 1996 by a group of writers, educators and musicians to create a space for Indian culture in the child's mind. Karadi Tales provides meaningful entertainment alternatives for kids and families and brings fun into the development of early learning skills. Besides this, the company is substantially involved in innovative pedagogy for language learning, especially catering to rural and underprivileged schools under the brand Karadi Path. We are primarily publishers of audiobooks, but have recently launched a series of beautiful picture books from around the world. We also create a very special imprint of handmade tactile picture books with text in Braille and English for the visually challenged. We have also recently forayed into video, applications and television. Since the launch of the first title in 1996, Karadi Tales titles have been consistently one of the largest selling publications in India. Many titles have sold more than 100,000 copies and most titles have crossed 20,000 copies. Each title of Karadi Tales has gone into reprint in less than 12 months of its release. Now with over 60 titles spanning our catalogue and many more under production, Karadi Tales has brought together some of India's finest artistes. 

2. Mumbai:ACK Media acquires controlling stake in Karadi Tales, a pioneer in the world of original Indian content in direct-to-home audio and video CDs, VCDs and DVDs for the pre-school audience. This acquisition will expand the ACK Media product portfolio to all age groups and platforms including comics, books, CDs, VCDs and DVDs. “This will help expand our distribution and in-store presence” confirmed the founding team of C.P Viswanath, ShobhaViswanath and Narayan Parshuram. Following the deal, Karadi Tales will continue to operate as an independent company from Chennai. There would be renewed focus on new audio and video product development for retail, online and broadcast markets. The two companies will integrate and share their sales, marketing and distribution resources. “Both Karadi Tales and ACK Media have a common aim - to promote quality Indian content across age groups, universally. Our brands share a lot of synergy because of similarity of customer base and focus on innovation. This brand synergy was pivotal to our investment in the project”, said Samir Patil, CEO, ACK Media. Karadi Tales has audio and video books which are narrated by well-known film and theatre personalities like Naseeruddin Shah, GirishKarnad, Gulzar and UshaUthup. 3. Karadi Tales Charkha Audio books include best-selling autobiographies of Mahatma Gandhi, A P J Abdul Kalam and other titles. The abridged audio books are textured with songs and background scores. Dreaming Fingers creates beautiful picture books that can be seen, read, and touched. They are meant for the visually impaired but can be enjoyed by all children.
