The eye-catching photo. • You’re ready to upload, edit, and press the “post” button. • Some may brush timing aside as trivial. Does the time of day really make a difference when posting? Isn’t social media all about the quality of the content? • Yes — to an extent. But research shows that time of day can, in fact, have an impact on the engagement success of a post. • While the truth is that there’s no perfect formula for determining the optimal time to reach your audience, there are trends we can use to make our best-estimated guess. • So, let’s dive in, and take a look.

LinkedIn • With over 610 million members, LinkedIn remains the world’s largest professional networking site. • As more people continue to gravitate toward this platform for professional networking, brands are also turning toward LinkedIn business pages in order to build their followers. • A study by TrackMaven found, based on the average number of interactions per post, that Wednesdays at 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. are most effective, while weekends (especially Sundays) are much lower in engagement.
