  1. Self-Paced vs. Instructor-Paced Courses: Which Should You Choose? Online learning isn’t for everyone; you need time, commitment and self- discipline to study on your own. But online learning is not always about flexible or unmonitored learning. There are different types of courses; students can pick one according to their lifestyle and learning style. We list two distinct styles of courses commonly available to online students: Self-paced Online Courses: As the name suggests, students get to set their own pace while learning, i.e., there are not set dates for assignments and tests as long as these tasks are completed before the course ends. Similarly, the student doesn’t need to be online at the same time as the instructor and lessons can be completed by watching course videos and completing quizzes at the end of each lesson. Some courses can be taken without the need of an instructor. The course-material is given to the student immediately upon signing up for the course. Similarly, the video lectures are pre- recorded and can be watched at any time. Self-paced courses are beneficial to working students who cannot log in to the class during work hours. The only problem with this style of learning is that because of a lack of an instructor, there’s very little opportunity for feedback or assistance. Of course, you can call us at any time asking for help. All that you have to do is to call us and ask, ‘Can you take my online class for me?’ From criminal justice to business relations and math, science, and geometry, our tutors can help you complete any subject. Instructor-paced Online Courses: Instructor-led courses follow a set schedule, i.e., you will have to complete the course within a specified period. There are specific due dates for assignments and exams start and end at a predetermined date. All of this information is shared with the student when the course starts. Some courses are live instructor-led courses, i.e., they are conducted by a live instructor from a remote location. This method of learning simulates the classroom method of learning, except that the classrooms are virtual. Learning takes place at a set time and a set place. The inherent setup enables students to ask questions during the lecture. These courses are usually highly detailed and often industry specific. Some courses are a blend of self-paced and instructor-paced. The blended approach helps students experience the best of both worlds. Students can work on their own pace while attending a live tutorial. Which method do you prefer? Let us know your thoughts!
