It is the start of new life for both – the bride and the groom. Though there are tearful eyes of everyone, there is happiness in heart too. Then she is allowed to keep her foot on the earth. Due to colour of her feet, her footprints are marked on the surface. The husband also states that he will take of her throughout the life and all her basic needs will be fulfilled. The newly wed bride cooks rice and serves that to the family members of her husband.
