  1. Tracker procedures CERN, September 1st 2009

  2. installation

  3. Tracker test during integration • Tracker DAQ and SlowCtrl software verified with: • JMDC server • flight JMDC • flight T electronics • all the intelligence was in the GSC (and operator) • to whom should we ask for more access to the radiator electronics? • who will be responsible of PDS operations during detector integration?

  4. Tracker onboard software activities: • Claude and Philippe at work in Perugia this week • TDR: • calibration harmonization with mainframe last release • housekeeping info implementation • JINF: • slowcontrol implementation • housekeeping info implementation

  5. Power ON • strict minimum (functionally OK, bad data quality): • get OK from TTCS (all the details and procedure to be verified/defined) • power on TxPDs • take data • proper procedure (optimum data quality) • get OK from TTCS (all the details and procedure to be verified/defined) • power on TxPDs • switch off redundant parts (ACTEL, S9055 • calibrate (both standard and Tracker specific calibration) • take data

  6. Tracker requirements • calibrate every 30 minutes (less frequently after some experience) • double trigger calibration every day (less frequently after some experience) • download to ground all the calibration data (786432 16 bit words, ie 4 raw events)

  7. Calibrations Dependence from Temperature • Pedestals drift depends from temperature (electronics) • Noise depends from temperature (silicon) X Y <s> = 2.71 (3.31) for Y (X) side Thermal Chamber Measurement (2007) Cosmic Rays Test (2008) From WJB

  8. Tracker monitoring • JMDC Task: • front-end electronics temperature, TTCS status • JMDC Q-list: • leakage currents (every minute or so) • power supply status (every minute or so) • TDRs node + JMDC: • calibration quality (details under discussion) • data quality (details under discussion)
