  2. Web Teaching • Why is it important? • “… technology-assisted instruction has proliferated and changed the means by which faculty and students interact, as well as the manner in which educational entities must now do business to meet the demands of a digitized society.” (Beaudoin, 2003)

Web Teaching • Effectiveness and Perceived Effectiveness • Research has indicated that no significant difference between content learned in face-to-face and online courses (Twigg, 2001) • There are differences in the perception of effectiveness by full time social work professors (Moore, 2005) • Policy course are considered the most appropriate for online • Practice/field courses are considered the most inappropriate
