New Course in Fall 2010 Thurs 7:00-9:50pmCENG(5931)5337 Low Power System Design • In the last decade, system design focus has shifted from high performance to low power. • The most significant cost of any data center is power and cooling. • Mobile devices are reaching new domains in computational power, requiring higher capacity power sources. • This course will cover many of the circuit, architectural, and system level power reduction techniques commonly used in today’s systems. • Case studies including the ARM RISC processor will be utilized to explore new concepts. • Scheduled time: Thurs 7:00-9:50pm. • ContactDr. Jason Wilde (jaws24@gmail.com) of TIfor details.
