  4. The Project Team Hakeel Qureshi Project Co-ordinator responsible for the successful delivery of the Big Lottery Fund Basis 2 NW5 Project. Nathalie Long Project Officer to improve access to capacity building support for BME VCS organisations across Greater Manchester. Estelle Worthington Project Officers to improve access to capacity building support for BME VCS organisations across Greater Manchester with particular emphasis on RCO’s. Marna Motteram Admin/ICT Officer responsible for efficient and effective administration of Project.

Project Overview The Project overall aims to address the strengthening of the networks of BME VCS organisations across Greater Manchester and to improve the standard of infrastructure support provided through the creation of the ‘Greater Manchester BME Network’ • 3 Year project • Partners – MRSN,GMCVO,MBMEN,MCCR

  6. GMBMEN Key Outcomes:- Outcome 1: Increase in influence on local, regional and national policies and practices. Outcome 2: Organisations implement and identify service improvements Outcome 3: BME VCS organisations are confident and better able to address issues and generate resources. Outcome 4: BME VCS organisations have increased knowledge about support services.

  7. Key Outputs over from July 2010 – February 2011 • Outcome 1: Multi Stakeholder event – RCO Conference over 60 people attended from 40 BME/RCO organisations. • Updating Mapping Representation • Workshops/Training

  8. Outcome 2: • Working with 20 BME VCS organisations to increase their confidence to apply for public service contracts • ‘Peer Mentoring Support Programme’ • Organisational Improvement – 15 organisations selected for support • NAVCA Support (£7500) • Support via tailored workshop

  9. Outcome 3: Training arranged in:- 1) Fundraising 2) Marketing/Media skills 3) Information and Data Management 4)Partnership and Collaboration 5) Advanced Fundraising 6) Organisational Resilience 7) Financial Capacity Building

  10. Outcome 4: • Road show – Wigan • Newsletters - produced 2 newsletters. • Website
