Why the 2 Dam Days Paddle Race? • Paddling is a great sport for the marathon paddle racers who want to challenge their endurance, as well as for the person who wants to just enjoy paddling for fun alone or with friends and family. This is a race to celebrate clean water and enjoy the Lake of the Ozarks in all its beauty.

  4. Facts about LOWA and the race: • Lake of the Ozarks Watershed Alliance, Inc. is a 501.c.3 not for profit organization dedicated to protecting and improving our lake water quality • One of the largest purses ever paid for a paddle race will attract extreme kayakers from all over the United States • Clean Water Celebrations at the end points for day one and day two will attract people from all regions to learn more about the Lake of the Ozarks and protecting lake water quality • This race will add another dimension to boating at the Lake and could attract thousands of spectators, promoting what a “Jewel” we have here at the Lake of the Ozarks • The 2 Dam Days Paddle Race will be televised on PBS stations in a series about boating on rivers and lakes in Missouri
