  1. Parenting Tips: Best After-School Care for Your Kid As a working parent, you probably have been relieved for a while when your kid started his/her day care. Now, your kid doesn’t need full-time care. Still, you will have to look for some kind of after-school care as you kid is not old enough to stay home alone. Here are some options you can consider. After school programs Child Care & Learning Center in San Antonio TX is a popular choice among working parents. Now a day, many schools offer aftercare programs for kids who need care for 3 to 6 during the evening. It is one of the most affordable and easy after school care alternatives, which is offered by your child’s school. Such program starts as soon as the classes are over and continue till 6 PM. Community-based after-school programs Many local child-care community centers offer this type of service where they offer longer after-care option than school-based programs. These programs vary from younger children to older ones and offer everything from games to homework. However, this option may be more costly than a private day care. Part-time nanny It is another great option for working parents where a caregiver picks up your child from school and take care of him/her at home. The person usually does everything from being a homework helper, playing partner to dinner preparation for the kid. However, it may take you some time to find a trustworthy nanny. The best way is to go via a reputable agency. Swapping child care hours with other parents If a working parent residing near your house has working hours slightly different from yours; you can consider swapping the child care hours with them. In such case, probably they will need to leave early in the morning and return by mid-afternoon. In such case, you can take care of their kid before school, and they can take care of your child after school. The benefit is convenience and costs free solution. However, finding such parent may become a difficulty. Parenting is perhaps the toughest job on the earth. As in today’s lifestyle, both parents work, taking care of a child after school has become a big problem. However, after-school care options are available, you just need to pick up the right one considering the convenience of both the parents. This way you can make a perfect balance between your job and child care.
