Application Programming Interface ANNEX A • No formal API is proposed as part of J2735 or P1609. • Having an API is convenient for those groups doing joint R&D work with equipment from multiple vendors: • J2735 API elements (if an API is developed): • Message priority • Transmission power level • Existing APIs: PATH, Kapsch, Denso • Probable APIs: IntelliDrive (sm) • Specialized APIs: OmniAir for standards interfaces testing • Considerations for APIs: • ISO Reference Model • CORBA IIOP

  4. Software Requirement Specifications ISSUES • No formal SRS as part of J2735 or P1609. • To be followed by a Software Design Specification (SDS) which will define an API.
