  1. Interacting Well Part 1

  2. Matthew 5:13-16 NIV • 13  "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. 14  "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.

  3. Matthew 5:13-16 NIV • 15  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16  In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

  4. Matthew 22:37-40 NIV • 37  Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38  This is the first and greatest commandment.

  5. Matthew 22:37-40 NIV • 39  And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

  6. Luke 10:27 NIV • 27  He answered: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"

  7. Deuteronomy 6:5 NIV • 5  Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

  8. Leviticus 19:18 NIV • 18  "'Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.

  9. 1. Love God with all your heart.

  10. Proverbs 4:23 NIV • 23  Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.

  11. 2. It starts with a spiritual heart transplant.

  12. Matthew 13:15 NIV • 15  For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.'

  13. Matthew 15:19 NIV • 19  For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

  14. Ezekiel 36:26 NIV • 26  I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

  15. 3. How can I love God with all my heart?

  16. Exodus 20:3 NIV • 3  "You shall have no other gods before me.

  17. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV • 4  Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8  Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
