  1. Cedar Valley Middle School “Make a difference, Leave a legacy” 8th grade first day lesson plans PERIOD NINE TIME: 2:40-3:10

  2. PROWLDismissal & Bus Expectations Dismissal-The teacher dismisses all classes, not the bell.  Teachers begin dismissing classes at 3:30.  Students will be expected to exit the building quickly.  You may stop at your locker to get any necessary supplies, but do not stop to visit with friends at this time.  What students learned this morning in advisory, PROWL for hallway expectations, is what we expect to see at dismissal in the hallway.

  3. PROWLBus Expectations • Thank the bus driver when you get off at your stop. It will make a good impression on the driver. • Do you have questions about riding the bus? • How has your day been?

  4. PROWLBus Expectations Personal best:  Stay seated with your body facing forward at all times.  Let students sit next to you if they need a seat and be friendly and welcoming to new students.

  5. PROWLBus Expectations Respectful & responsible:  Get on and off at your assigned stop and listen to your bus driver’s directions.

  6. PROWLBus Expectations Only appreciations:  Use appropriate language with the bus driver and other riders.

  7. PROWLBus Expectations Work ethically:  Respect school property and the property of others.

  8. PROWLBus Expectations Lifelong learners:  Respect the bus driver and other riders through your actions.
