  2. Le conditionnel • C’est le mode de l’action éventuelle ou hypothétique qui dépend d’une condition énoncée ou non. Il existe deux formes de conditionnel: le conditionnel présent et le conditionnel passé. Alors qu’il a été longtemps enseigné comme un mode verbal distinct, la plupart des linguites le traitent maintenant comme un temps de l’indicatif.

  3. Conditionnel présent • C’est un temps simple: un mot. • Verbes réguliers: Il est formé à partir de l’infinitif du verbe, comme le futur, mais avec les terminaisons de l’imparfait. On élimine le e final des verbes en re. Voici le conditionnel présent des trois groupes de verbes réguliers:

Conditionnel Présent L’EMPLOIS • La politesse : Pourrais-tu m'aider ? . • Un conseil : Il devrait partir maintenant.  • Une suggestion: Tu aimerais aller au cinéma? • Un reproche : Tu pourrais arrêter de me déranger !  • Le souhait : Je préférerais un café. • Une information non-confirmée : Le Ministre se rendrait à Londres bientôt. • Un fait imaginaire : Je serais le roi et toi la reine.

  8. Conditionnel Présent AUSSI POUR: • EXPRIMER UN FAIT FUTUR HYPOTHÉTIQUE SOUMIS À UNE CONDITION  • * Si ... (IMPARFAIT) .... [alors] CONDITIONNEL SIMPLE ou bien • CONDITIONNEL SIMPLE ... Si (IMPARFAIT)
