Who is Ms. Riccio? •  I graduated from Monmouth University with my Bachelors degree, becoming certified in both Elementary (K-5) and Special Education (K-12). • My experiences included teaching Kindergarten, teaching in a Resource room, being a Reading specialist, and working at a school for children with Autism. I am now ecstatic to be working with some 4th and 5th grade students here at Central School! • I am from Bridgewater NJ but love to spend time at the beach

Becoming Responsible Star Learners • By 4th grade students should be taking on responsibility for their learning and behaviors • Students should be willingly engaging in lessons and displaying appropriate behaviors in and out of the classroom • Students are held responsible for their homework getting complete each night • Students are responsible to follow class rules as well as central’s “STAR rules to shine”

  6. Homework Policy • Math worksheets are assigned every night except for Fridays • Students need to read 20 minutes a night. 100 minute reading logs are due Monday mornings • Every Tuesday a writing prompt is assigned and due on Thursday • Students get credit for completed homework. They are not graded on accuracy

  7. Grading Scale • 10% Homework • 20% Projects • 25% Quizzes • 30% Tests
