  2. A Abolitionist- a person who strong favors doing away with slavery American System- policies devised by Henry clay to simulate the growth of industries Amendment- an addition to a formal document such as the constitution

  3. B Blockade runner- ships that sails into and out of blockaded areas Boycott- to refuse to buy items from a particular country Burgesses- elected representatives to an assembly
