  1. Eyeglasses shine effect

  2. In this lesson, you will see how to apply shine effect on eyeglasses on the picture using the color mixer panel and mask.

  3. You don't have to use action script code to make this tutorial.

  4. This eyeglasses effect is very simple to create, but in the same time very practical and effective. It's glamorous.

  5. Step 1 • First of all download my picture that we will use for this example.

  6. Step 2 • Double click on layer 1 to rename its name in picture.

  7. Step 3 • Create a new flash document. Select Modify > Document (shortcut key: Ctrl+J ).

  8. Set the width of your document to 249 pixels and the height to 233 pixels.

  9. Set the background color as whatever you like

  10. . Set your Flash movie's frame rate to 35 and click ok.

  11. Step 4 • Take the Selection Tool (V), Select the picture, go to the Align Panel (Ctrl+K) and set the following options:

  12. 1. Make sure that the Align/Distribute to Stage button is turned on, 2. Click on the Align horizontal center button and 3. Click the Align vertical center button.

  13. Step 5 • Click on frame 180 and press F5 key.

  14. Step 6 • Create a new layer above the picture layer and name it effect area.

  15. Step 7 • Take the Rectangle Tool (R), block the Stroke Color, for fill color choose any color, zoom the picture, and draw a rectangle above the left glass of eyeglasses See the picture below.

  16. Step 8 • Take the Selection Tool (V), and adjust the rectangle shape with the shape of left glass of eyeglasses

  18. Step 9 • While the adapted rectangle is still selected, go to the Color Mixer Panel (Shoetcut key: Shift+F9) and choose the following options:

  19. 1. Click on the paint bucket icon to select the Fill color. 2. Choose Linear as Type. 

  20. 3. Click on the small color rectangle that is on the left side and set its color to #D1F0EE. Alpha property set to 65 % 

  21. 4. Click on the second rectangle from the right side and set its color to white , but change its alpha property to 0% (completely transparent).

  22. Step 10 • Create a new layer above the effect area layer and name it mask.

  23. Then ,take again the Rectangle Tool (R), block the Stroke Color,

  24. for Fill color choose any color and draw a rectangle about 8x45 pxand place it on the position like it is shown on the picture below.

  25. Step 11 • While the Rectangle is still selected, press F8 key (Convert to Symbol) to convert this rectangle into a Movie Clip Symbol.

  26. Step 12 • Click on frame 20 and and press F6 key. After that, place the rectangle on the position like it is shown on the picture below.

  27. Step 13 • Right-click anywhere on the gray area between the two keyframes on the timeline and choose Create Motion Tween from the menu that appears.

  28. Step 14 • Click on frame 70 and press F6 key. After that, place the rectangle on the position like it is shown on the picture below.

  29. Step 15 • After that, take the Free Transform Tool (Q), select the rectangle, press and hold down Shift key and enlarge its width a little.

  30. Step 16 • Click on frame 90 and press F6 key. After that, place the rectangle on the position like it is shown on the picture below.

  31. Step 17 • Right-click anywhere on the gray area between the two keyframes on the timeline and choose Create Motion Tween from the menu that appears.

  32. Step 18 • Select mask layer and convert it to a mask by right-clicking on the mask layer and selecting Mask.

  33. Now, we're done with the left glass of eyeglasses. Repeat this steps also for the right glass of eyeglasses and that's it.

  34. Test your Movie (Ctrl+Enter)
