  5. 3 Ways to Enter Field Data Via Web browser on smartphone or tablet with an active data connection. Here: Android (3.2) tablet. Windows Mobile app. No Internet connection required. Sync with server later. Windows ROVER Server on PC. No Internet connection required.Sync with other servers later. OR OR

  6. Start ROVER • Start Web browser

  7. Enter Server URL in Browser • Ask your admin for your server’s URL

  8. Select Post-Earthquake Survey • Tap “Select ATC-20 (post-earthquake)”

  9. Login • Get username and password from admin • Tap “login”

  10. Create Site • Tap “Add new site” for site not already in database

  11. Create Site • Enter building name, address, area, year • Tap “Submit”

  12. View Sites • Tap “View list of active sites and their worksheets” for sites already in database

  13. Add Rapid Inspection

  14. Building Types, Occupancy • Tap “Exterior only” or “Ext and interior” • Tap building type(s) & occupancy

  15. Observed Conditions • Tap observed condition severity, repair cost • Tap damage state & tag color

  16. Submit Inspection • Add restrictions, actions, comments, etc. • Tap “Submit”

  17. Double-check Form • When done, tap, “home”

  18. Site List When Done • Site list now shows posting & requirements

  19. Add Detailed Inspection

  20. Inspection date and time • Tap text box “Inspection date and time” • Tap “Today” current date and time recorded

  21. Get lat/lon from address • Tap “Get Lat/Lon from address”

  22. Contact, phone, … • Tap in each text box to enter data • Tap applicable construction types, occupancies

  23. Evaluation • Tap radio buttons for each applicable observation

  24. Add photo • Tap “choose file”

  25. Add photo • Select “camera” from available sources

  26. Add Photo • Click shutter release. Press “OK” OK | | X

  27. Caption • Add caption in “sketch comment” field

  28. Posting • Tap radio button for posting

  29. Submit • Tap “submit” to post record

  30. Other things ROVER can do • Pre-earthquake (FEMA 154) safety evaluation • Get tag color-estimates from ShakeCast ROVER edition, within minutes after an earthquake • Export to HAZUS-MH
