  1. What Will You Leave Behind?Ecclesiastes 5:13-17

  2. Left Behind • The false doctrine of the rapture has made popular the “left behind” idea • Actually, many things will be “left behind” when we die (Eccl. 5:13-17) • We all have an appointment with death (Heb. 9:27) • Are the life insurance policy and funeral arrangements the only things you have in order before you die?

  3. You Will Leave Behind… • All your possessions (Job 1:21; 1 Tim. 6:7; Mt. 16:26; 2 Pet. 3:10) • All your reputation and character (Prov. 10:7; 22:1; Eccl. 7:1; 10:1; Mt. 5:16; Acts 8:2; 9:39; 1 Tim. 5:24-25; Rev. 14:13) • All your family legacy (Prov. 22:6; 2 Tim. 1:5; 3:15) • All your spiritual legacy (Rom. 16:1-16; 1 Cor. 16:15-20; Col. 4:7-17; Rev. 2:10,13; 2 Tim. 4:6-8)

  4. You Will Leave Behind… • All your acquaintances (Mt. 5:23-24; Col. 3:13; Lk. 16:27-31; 1 Cor. 9:16-23) • All your unfinished projects (2 Cor. 6:2; Eph. 5:16; Col. 4:7) • All your opportunities (Eccl. 9:10) • It is not the amount of days in your life that counts, but the amount of life in your days!
