  2. Colossians 3:2 (NKJV) “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”

Question: Are you a pancake or a waffle? • We are often like waffles in that we try to fit time with God into a compartment, much like surup fits into the little holes on a waffle, instead of covering our lives with God like syrup on a pancake. • What do you fill the other waffle compartments with? • As part of our culture, we tend to think everything has its place and you should not let one thing in your life affect the other things. • (Discuss Debbie Morgan-No Food Touching and Drone Conversation from Sunday School.)

  4. Remember: • God does not ask us to stop doing the things we love, but rather asks us to use these things to glorify Him and to further His kingdom. • You CAN glorify God in almost everything you do. • We just have to learn to live like pancakes and let God’’s love and direction flood every “compartment” of our lives. • By: Mitchell Hollis

  5. Discussion: • Are you living your life like a pancake or waffle? • How can you include the things that you love into God’s plan for your life? • If you are doing something that does not glorify God, is it a sin?
