  2. The background • The emphasis in the VET is more and more in the work-based learning • VET students’ transnational mobility is increasing • There is a need to systematize methods and to find common practice between different countries

  3. The background Etelä-Kymenlaakso Vocational College (Ekami) in co-operation with its national partners developed • pedagogical model for instructing work-based learning with guidelines for students, instructors and teachers/trainers • model for the training of work place instructors and a plan for carrying out the training • material for the training of work place instructors

  4. The background The ECVET system is going to be introduced in various countries in Europe. The target year in Finland will be 2014

  5. Innovation to be transferred • The core idea of this Leonardo TOI project is to transfer the products of the previous project to European framework • The purpose is to develop the model further in cooperation with European partners • A special focus will be on developing student evaluation during the work-based learning > from separate learning contents towards problem solving and understanding phenomena

  6. The impact • The quality of the work based learning will improve • VET teachers and work place instructors will find the task of guiding students during the WBL periods more attractive • The courage to receive students from abroad will increase

  7. The Partnership The partnership consists of 4 partners Etelä-Kymenlaaksovocational college (Finland) Klaipedos Siuvimo ir paslaugu verslo mokykla (Lithuania) Handwerkskammer Lübeck (Germany) -Selçuklu Teknik ve Endüstri Meslek Lisesi (Turkey)
