The Case for Humility Introduction Humility is critically important in personal ministry You’re worse than you think • Pride is embedded in our fallenness • We prefer the gifts to the giver • We ignore or take credit for God’s blessing • Our heart is hopelessly self-deceiving & self-justifying Mistakes were made, but not by me. • Our fallen brains don’t work that well (blind to it) Thinking Fast and Slow • We want our will to be done.
