  3. The National Legislative Branch is called the Congress it is made up of the US House of Representatives and The US Senate. They meet in the US Capital building in Washington D.C.   4. The US House has 435 members representing roughly 700.000 people each. They serve two year terms and all were elected in 2010 and will be up for reelection in 2012. Click here for my Representative Each state gets at least 1 representative, California currently has the most with 53. Michigan currently has 15 but will lose one starting in 2013 due to our shrinking population between the 2000 census and the 2010 census. Back to 9 box chart

  8. The National Executive Branch is led by the President, V.P. and cabinet. The President and Vice President are elected to 4 year terms (max. two terms).   9. The National Judicial Branch is headed by the US Supreme Court with nine justices appointed by the President with advice and consent of the US Senate. They serve life terms.   13. The Michigan Executive Branch is headed by the Governor and Lt. Governor. We also elect two other state-wide executives, the Secretary of State and Attorney General.
