  3. 33 questionnaires were reviewed • 15 from the age of 7-14 • 18 from the age of 15-17 3 (9.1%) youth requested interviews Ontario average is 6% 2 Interviews transpired (6.1%) as the third youth declined at the time of the interview.

  5. Comments • Cared for/ Right situation: No – I think I should live with my Mom and Dad. No – I don’t want to live in a strangers home. Yes – They love me and take care of me and I love them too. Yes –Because I have nice parents.

Plans for the future What would you like to be doing in 5 years? • I’d like to be in College (10) • Be in the Military. • Having a family of my own and finishing secondary school. • Finishing High School. Reasonably good paying job. • I have no idea. • I would like to be in school training to be a chef. • College for photography. • Attending college, living with my Aunt and Uncle and helping with my mother’s side of the family.

Any changes or comments? • I would change to see my family more and longer visits. • To get the @$#** out of this place, I want to be with my mother. • I think as a 16 yr. old female it is pretty good for me right now. How old do you have to be to be a foster parent? • Nothing. I love my foster family. • I just want to go home and be with my mom and step dad. Thats where I belong, that’s my home.

  18. Comments or changes cont. • I want more chocolate milk (I’m totally just kidding). Nothing I like it the way it is. • I wouldn’t change a thing. I feel that the way the Children’s Aid Society works things are done very well. • More visits with my worker. 24 children and youth indicated they would change nothing
