  3. In the library… Pick your topic. Find two books that relate to your topic (you cannot check them out) Find research articles that relate to your topic

  4. Resources When you find a source you want to use, immediately write down its information on your source worksheet. Make sure you find information for each line. Write down what information about your topic that source provides. Any word-for-word information goes in quotations.

  5. In the lab… Find more journal articles. Begin typing your annotated bib. Save to your X: drive. Spell check and proofread!

  6. Other info If you have questions, ask either me or Mrs. Smith. Use your time wisely. Stay on task. Hold onto your annotated bib examples AND your MLA worksheet.

The article moves from washing and chopping vegetables to making homemade broth to simmering all ingredients in a pot for several hours. The article is meant for a novice cook who has a few hours to spare. The step-by-step instructions provide great details about how to cute vegetables (about an inch thick) to how often to stir the broth (once every 15 minutes) to how long to let the chili simmer on the stove (three hours).
