  1. Engineering Portfolio By: An awesome student Period: 3

  2. Autobiography • I am a 16 year old boy attending Heritage high school, I am taking intro to engineering for my 3rd period. I am taking this class because I would like a future career as a Mechanical Engineer because I like to create inventions that will hopefully benefit the human race for the good. I would also like to be a Mechanical engineer because it pays very well and it would make future life easy.

  3. Isometric sketches

  4. Oblique (Cabinet) Sketches

  5. Oblique (Cavalier) Sketches

  6. 1point perspective and 2point perspective

  7. Comments from peer • My classmate stated that all my sketches were identical to those on the worksheet but they were correctly created by the type of style they were suppose to be created. • He also reviewed my sketches and told me they were accurate measurements

  8. Summary • My sketches were correctly drawn and shaded and met all the required criteria. I do not believe anything else would help to create better sketches; I believe a ruler and isometric paper is good enough.

  9. Brainstorming Possible Combinations

  10. My Puzzle Cube Blueprint

  11. 1st Brainstorm • I chose the first puzzle cube brainstorm because it didn’t have any duplicates and it met all the required demands

  12. C.A.D Multiviews

  13. C.A.D Multiviews

  14. C.A.D Multiviews

  15. C.A.D Multiviews

  16. C.A.D Multiviews

  17. C.A.D Pieces

  18. C.A.D Pieces

  19. C.A.D Pieces

  20. C.A.D Pieces

  21. C.A.D Pieces

  22. C.A.D Whole Cube

  23. Comments from peer • My Classmate clearly identified that all my pieces were correctly made and verified that they can all fit to create a puzzle cube that would be 3D.

  24. Actual Pieces

  25. The Guiney Pig • My peer took exactly 3 minutes and 48 seconds to create my puzzle cube.

  26. Summary • In order to create a virtual 3D cube I used a computer program named C.A.D which gave me a virtual view of my brainstorming. I successfully created an actual model of a cube out of wood and out of mega blocks. I recommend this project to ages 7 and up. I don’t think any changes would provide a different outcome because it would still create a 3x3 cube.
