  3. SNF Infections • Nosocomial Infections are comparable to the hospital • Rates from 2.6-14/1000 patient days • Infections related to 63% of SNF deaths • 25-50% of Transfers from hospitals have infections • Most residents in SNF have one serious infection yearly
