  3. Definition and Process A Facilities Master Plan is a document that describes an overall physical development concept through maps and narrative. The Facilities Master Plan documentation reflects a strategy to provide the facilities that support your college Mission Statement. The plan is guided by a vision statement and defined goals. Process: • Physical and Academic review and analysis • Options development • Solution development • Facilities Master Plan approval

  10. 2001 Goals • Renovate or replace existing facilities to support current instructional needs. • Create a welcoming, identifiable entrance to campus. • Welcome students with a new “One-Stop-Shop” for Student Services. • Re-zone the campus to evenly distribute parking and to bring the campus together into a cohesive campus environment. • Create new pedestrian gateways to the campus from all major parking areas.

  13. 2006 Vision Focus • STUDENT LIFE(Academic & Social) • - Create a supportive learning environment that maximizes the synergy between instruction and student support services. • FACULTY & STAFF • - Recruit, support and retain the best faculty, staff and administrators. • COMMUNITY(Outreach) • - Strengthen partnerships with businesses, industry, other educational institutions and increase non-matriculating usage of facilities. • PEDESTRIAN/VEHICULAR CIRCULATION (Image/Parking/Safety/Access) • - Solidify the campus image, confine the traffic, enhance the pedestrian areas, address the evening campus experience and improve access to buildings. • CAMPUS PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT (Facilities) • - Support institutional needs identified through program review for updating facilities and equipment to enhance learning environments.
