Music Clubs • We have a number of extra-curricular clubs open to singers and instrumentalists of all levels at Kendrick • We are holding auditions for Chamber Choir this week and next (sign up outside M1). A few positions are available for students in Years 9 and above • We are now preparing for our Xmas concert and music tour to Belgium and welcome new and existing members • When there is so much going on, take a break and enjoy music-making with friends

  4. Music Leaders • Last year, we launched our Music Leaders programme in which students were able to represent those involved in the groups they took part in. This encompassed helping to choose repertoire, leading sectionals and shaping the way the groups were run • This year, we want to make these positions even better and are rolling them out to all Kendrick ensembles • If you would like to develop your leadership skills, promote the student voice and make the role of a Music Leader your own, then please speak to/email your ensemble director for more information

Upcoming Events • Our ever popular Upper School and Sixth Form Chamber Concert is on Thursday 24th October and we are looking for anyone in Years 10-13 to get involved • You can perform individually or in a small group and may sing/play any music of your choosing • Places fill up quickly so sign up outside M1 as soon as you can to avoid disappointment. Closing date Friday 4th October • House Music is on Wednesday 13th November and rehearsals are on Tuesday lunch times and after school in Cedars. Everyone is encouraged to get involved!

  6. Music Tour to Belgium • Friday 3rd April -Monday 6thApril • Groups attending: • Chamber Choir • Symphony Orchestra • Jazz Band • There may be spaces if you wish to join us • Speak to Mrs Cooper for more information

Drama Clubs • We are trying to improve the provisions for experiencing drama at Kendrick • There are now three clubs, one for Years 7-8, one for Year 9 and a Senior Drama Club for those in Years 10 and above • We would like to develop students’ acting and directing skills, as well as knowledge and understanding of what happens backstage • We would like to be able to perform some of the things we create, devised and scripted, later in the year • If you would like to be involved in improving drama at Kendrick then please speak to/email Mrs Cooper
