  3. Title I Info to Know The goal of Title I is to provide instructional services and activities which support students in meeting the state’s challenging performance standards.

  4. Parent Liaison • Coordinates programs and activities to build capacity for parental involvement in compliance with Elementary and Secondary Education Act. • Advertise all Title I Parent Involvement activities through a variety media to include, newsletters, flyers, emails, school messenger and written correspondence. • Organize and manage the Parent Resource Center

What is a School Compact • It is a written agreement between the teachers, parents and students • The compact serves as a clear reminder of everybody’s responsibility in helping children reach high academic standards • Every school receiving Title I funds must develop a compact • Every parent, teacher and student must sign a school compact • Compacts should be signed by EACH child that attends Oakley

What is the Home Access Center • Website available to parents (and at site discretion, students) that is a real-time look at student data • The data is housed on a secure server and only users with authorized access may enter the website • To pick up your login and password you must show a photo id at any site where you have a child enrolled in Fulton County Schools. • Parents with multiple students in our system may request that their accounts be combined so all children are connected to a single login. Please allow 48 hours for the students to be connected

Volunteer Safety Information Form On July 1, 2012, Georgia law changed to include school volunteers to the group of people who are required to report any case of suspected child abuse or neglect.  With these changes, school districts can better protect children and ensure their safety and wellbeing. Like teachers, administrators, guidance counselors, social workers, and other school employees, school volunteers – because they frequently come in contact with children during their volunteer duties – are now considered “mandated reporters.” A mandated reporter is someone who must notify the Fulton County Department of Family Children Services (DFACS) within 24 hours if they suspect a child is being abused or neglected.

Our Plans • Professional development for staff will focus on the CCGPS(standards) • data collection and analysis • Researched –based Strategies: Rigor; Relevance, and Relationships; Integration of technology; common assessments every three weeks; analysis of data, Mountain Math, Daily Problem Solving; Accelerated Reader; Differentiated Instruction • The KEYS process will be a means to supervise and evaluate all staff • Grade level meetings and individual conferences (administrator, teacher, CST, Math Coach) held to discuss student progress, data, and teacher effectiveness • Collaborative planning for all grade level teams for planning, informal collaboration, data analysis, etc. will occur weekly and two days a year • The RTI Process will provide collaboration between school staff and parents to analyze a student’s weakness and plan interventions to support the student’s learning • EIP(Early Intervention Program) teachers in collaboration with regular education and Interrelated teachers will work with struggling students in small groups in reading and math

Materials, resources, literature will be purchased to enhance instruction and learning • Extended Day (Title I) will be provided to students struggling in math, after school for four days a week (January through March) • The CCGP will drive our staff development, monthly instruction, assessment of students toward continuous improvement. • Level I /SWD students will have an educational plans developed, implemented, and reviewed • Special Education programs will involve IRR (pull-out) and Inclusion/Team Teaching . • Math block established for better monitoring of math instruction by administration (walk throughs will be daily) • “Expert” teachers will provide training on researched based strategies they have used in the classroom monthly at grade level meetings • A “Parent University” (Title I) will be coordinated for parents to attend many activities to further support our parents in helping their children. • Parent Resource Room (Title I) will be established to enhance parents/guardians support to their children
