The Eliminate Project: Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus • This deadly disease steals the lives of nearly 60,00 innocent babies and women each year • Newborns suffer painful convulsions and mothers are not able to help them • It will take $110 million to eliminate this disease from the planet • Already eliminated from Sierra Leone and China • We need your help!

Registration • We are already at 150 members • We will be moving the registration deadline forward Oct. 9!!! • Turn in $15 with signed form to Mrs. Moss’s mailbox • Please DO NOT give Board members your completed registration forms • Afterwards, you must fill out a short form online that is sent to your email • Or else you won’t be able to log in hours!

  8. Key Club Shirts • Same shirts from last year • Long sleeve • Cost: $15 • We will put up the order forms online and on FB!

  9. Photo Contest be shown at the next Key Club meeting 1. Take pictures at all events/volunteer opportunities 2. Submit your favorite picture to the Key Club website 3. Winner will be selected, and the winning picture will 4. Reward: Receive a King Size candy bar Pictures are for the Key Club scrapbook

  10. Pop Tabs! • New project! There will be two huge Key Club bins • One in the Main Office • Other in the cafeteria, next to the microwave • Please place pop tabs from sodas in there • This helps support the Ronald McDonald House Foundation • If you submit a small zip-lock bag full = 30 min. • If you submit a large zip-lock bag full = 1 hour

  11. OSU Football Games • NEXT GAME: OSU vs. Iowa • Saturday, October 19th • Around 3:30pm, but please show up at 12:30pm • 6 volunteer hours • If interested, email Kenny at kennynguyen228@gmail.com or message on FB • OSU vs. Penn State coming up later

  12. Britton Elementary “Book Fair” • Wednesday, October 23rd • 6:00pm – 8:00pm • No more volunteers for the book fair are needed • But Britton would still love volunteers to interact with the elementary students! • Please email Arisa Sato if interested, at rainbow.skittlezstarz@gmail.com

  13. FALL RALLY :P What: An annual state-wide Key Club meeting! You will be doing hands on activities, meet your Ohio District Board (*cough* Natalie), and interact with different Key Club members from around Ohio Where: Student Union at The Ohio State University When: October 27th, 2013 at 10:00am What to wear: Your Davidson Key Club shirt Registration: Please email Kenny or message on FB More information coming soon

  14. Columbus Marathon When: Sunday, Oct. 20th from 6:15am–10:30am Where: Ohio Federation of Teachers, 1251 E Broad St. This is shortly after mile 7 of the course. Please note that there is no parking allowed on the course that morning What to wear: Your Columbus Marathon Race Crew uniform with gloves—It will be very cold in the morning. You will receive your shirt from ARISA a few days before the event. We’ll be handing out water and cheering on the runners no matter the conditions. Unfortunately this year, due to strict regulations, you are notallowed to participate unless you have registered! What to bring: Some pitchers to help pour water if you have them. Same rule goes for rakes and brooms to help with clean-up HOW TO REGISTER: Registration is now CLOSED. Please bring your ticket with you to the event. We will be at Water Stop F

Our largest fundraiser! • You may only take a bag today after the meeting if you are a fully registered member! • Each bag = 30 candy bars • Equal distribution of each type: caramel, crunch, almond, and peanut butter • Please sell ALL 30 for $1 each • NO, you may not eat them! (Without purchasing them) • You are responsible for selling them!You will receive 1 hour

  17. CATS Crew • Our volunteer opportunity every Monday • Helping the CATS Crew • Cleaning up the football game decorations after school • Washing windows, tearing down streamers, etc. • INTERESTED? CATS Crew needs some senior leaders, for those interested! • Please talk to Anna Kennedy
