  1. Sango Elementary Monday, April 4, 2012 JUST A REMINDER… All permission slips for the 5th grade field trip need to be returned ASAP. THANK YOU! April 3rd APSU Stem EXPO for CMCSS students. April 5th is the deadline for turning in to Mrs. Lunceford your child’s baby picture to be used at the the 5th grade promotion. April 6th No School. April 19th-5thGrade field trip to the Renaissance Center in Dickson, TN. May 3rd -Recycle team field trip to the Ronald McDonald House. May 5th -5th Grade field trip to the middle schools. May 17th -5th Grade promotion practice at Faith Outreach Church. May 18th-5thGrade promotion at Faith Outreach Church 10:00 a.m. Reading – Our story this week is “At The Beach.” Vocabulary words are driftwood, sea urchins, algae, concealed, tweezers, hammocks, sternly, lamented. Language Arts- We will review adverbs, negatives and quotations on Monday. The students will take an assessment on Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday we will identify and use prepositions and prepositional phrases. Science- We are working on our final STEM challenge. Students are researching the weather patterns of a city (either inland or coastal) and creating a weather report. Math Students will locate coordinates in the first quadrant and solve for integers. Our Final Math Superstars Lesson XX is today. This will conclude our math superstars program this year. Thank you for supporting this program. Social Studies – This week we will be reviewing our geography standards for the year (continents/oceans, states, Tennessee geography, etc.) MRS. BRUMBLAY NEEDS TISSUES.
