  5. Working Group Goals • Improve PSDA collaboration • To update the National Post Storm Data Acquisition Plan

  6. Proposed Changes to PSDA • Host all PSDA metadata on OFCM web page • Need all agencies to provide metadata • Use MADIS or NCDC for hosting data sets - Improves access to data • Leverage Homeland Security Info Net (HSIN) and Integrated Common Analytical Viewer (iCAV) to improve collaboration

  7. Proposed Changes to PSDA • Any JAG/NDR/PSDA member can initiate Post Storm collaboration with a simple e-mail to all JAG/NDR/PSDA members • Eliminates middle-man (OFCM) • Speeds up communication • Any JAG/NDR/PSDA member can initiate a follow-on meeting using HSIN Jabber chat function

  8. Proposed Changes to PSDA • Any JAG/NDR/PSDA member can create PSDA folders and post files to HSIN for any event

Proposed NPSDAP Changes • Chapter 3 becomes CONOPS by event • Don’t change from “Post Storm” to “Post Event” • Maintains current scope • “All Hazards” plan too much to tackle • Include safety processes in all chapters • Download chapters at: • http://www.ofcm.noaa.gov/wg-ndr-psda/plan-draft.htm

Agency NPSDAP Assignments • Ch 1: USACE, USGS, FEMA please provide Katrina paragraph • Ch 2: Each agency provide as much detail as you would like • Ch 3: For each event type, each agency should provide description of their CONOPS • Ch 4: Eliminate this chapter? Overlap w/ Ch 2? Add data disposition to Ch 2?
