  6. If you execute it, your document is e-mailed to 50 entries in your address book. Note that a single entry could be a distribution list containing hundreds of names.

  7. Your first indication that something is wrong may be receiving dozens of replies from people you don’t know.

  8. Effective use of anti-virus tools will catch and defuse the virus enroute.
