  2. Abide INTRODUCTIONHow did it all begin? • 50% of Indian children aged 6-18 do not go to school • 53% of girls in the age group of 5 to 9 years are illiterate. • Many, many rural schools operate without a building and toilet facilities every child is special!

  3. Abide What made us start a school in Andhra Pradesh? • Total number of Prostitutes in India being 2.8 million • 1.2 million are child prostitutes • Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal states together account for 26% of the total number of prostitutes in the country. This is mind-boggling! • Change starts with EDUCATION! every child is special!

Abide PURPOSE / PASSION • It was a burning passion in us to provide good education to the very poor, especially girls so that they escape the flesh trade • help school drops-outs to pick themselves up and continue. • Provide education for teen and youth who have never seen the school - with no age bar every child is special!

Abide PAUSE & THINK! • Education plays a key role in transforming the lives of our children in India, we got to give them this. • Most of the crime rates among children is because of lack of education • We got to make education attractive rather than burdensome • Under-privileged kids do not have a proper building to study • We wanted to give them quality education every child is special!

Abide URGENCY OF A BUILDING • Very tough to get premises on rent for free schools for poor kids, considering the nature and quality of kids • Complicated and tedious documentations further makes it hard to get rental premises for school • We decided to have our own building that would give shelter and education for Abide Public School kids every child is special!

  7. Abide PRESENT ACTIVITIES OF ABIDE PUBLIC SCHOOL • Started Abide Public School on September 11, 2011 under a registered trust – ABIDE EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY • We at present provide education up to upper primary level – Pre-KG To STANDARD SEVEN • Free noon meal for all kids every child is special!

  8. Abide BENEFITS OFFERED: • Both telugu and English medium • Immaterial of age, basic education for the illiterates and school drop-outs • Special emphasis for discipline, moral and teachings of Christian principles every child is special!

  9. Abide School Requirements • Reception/Office • Principal room • Correspondent Room • Store room for books • Play ground • Assembly Hall/Worship Hall • Dining Hall • Computer Lab • Kitchen every child is special!

  10. Abide ABIDE ANGEL HOME Abide • Residential quarters for children from ‘Abide Angel Home’ to be attached with the school every child is special!
