  6. How Do Students Earn Credits?

  7. CAHSEE CAliforniaHighSchool ExitExam • Two-day test in English and Math • Students will take the CAHSEE for the first time in March during their sophomore year (10th) • If necessary, students will have two chances in grade 11 and four more chances in grade 12

SENIOR COLLEGE PLANNING CALENDAR September-January • Colleges conduct interviews October • Work on college essays • 10/1-11/30: Filing period for Cal States • 10/1: CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE available online November • 11/1–11/30: Filing period for UCs • 11/30: Deadline to request letters of rec. from teachers & counselors • Private school Early Action and Early Decision deadlines. December • Check with your counselor to see if your correct social security number is on file. January • Financial Aid Workshop at RHS

COLLEGE APPLICATION INFORMATION Available online and in Parent Newsletter California State University (CSU) • CSU accepts applications from October 1 - November 30. • Apply online at www.csumentor.edu. The University of California (UC) • Students can submit a UC application online at www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions between Nov. 1-30. Private and Out-of-State Colleges • Application deadlines and testing requirements vary from school to school. Check each school’s website for information. College Application Information • Even though the deadline to apply to UCs and CSUs is November 30, they will accept a December SAT or ACT test. 11/30: Deadline to request teacher and counselor letters of recommendation • UCs and CSUs do not require letters of recommendation.

  21. Revolution Prep Personal Statement Workshop • October 15 from 7:30-8:30am (Late Start) in the West Wing of the library • October 18 from 1:00-2:00pm (Minimum Day) in the West Wing of the library
