  7. VOCAB/IDEAS As each new vocabulary word pops up on the screen make sure and write it down with the vocab/ideas in your notes. We will repeat the words out loud to practice our pronunciation and get ready for the SPEAKING portion of our final exam!

GROUP WORK- SHOPPING LIST Using the information on the next page you will create a shopping list for your Mom of at least 10 items Include what you need, where she can buy it, and how much each item costs. Also make sure to give her some directions as to where the store is located in the city (to the left of the bank? Behind the hospital? Near the school?)

  14. PARTNER SPEAKING PRACTICE • Prompt: You are a very active member of the student body and have been asked to help out an exchange student from México, María. María is new to town and the United States and doesn’t know where to find things. (Pretend to) Call María and leave her a message telling her: • 2 pieces of clothing you buy, where you buy them and how much they cost • 2 pieces of clothing she should not buy • Where you go to buy tickets and what kind of tickets you buy (what you watch)

  15. INDIVIDUAL WORK- WRITING On the next page you will see a writing prompt. Like in our free writes, you will have 10 minutes to answer the question. Don’t forget about the rubric!

  16. INDIVIDUAL WRITING PRACTICE • Prompt: Since you want to be a good grandchild and because your grandma asked you to, you are going to write your grandma a letter about your life now-a-days. She cannot believe the clothes you are wearing, the places you are going and how much everything costs! In the letter include: • 3 Places you go, what you do there and how much it costs • 2 pieces of clothing you have to have and how much they cost (think- she might buy them for your birthday!) • Other information about your young-person’s life she would find interesting
