María is new to town and the United States and doesn’t know where to find things. (Pretend to) Call María and leave her a message telling her: • 2 pieces of clothing you buy, where you buy them and how much they cost • 2 pieces of clothing she should not buy • Where you go to buy tickets and what kind of tickets you buy (what you watch)

16. INDIVIDUAL WRITING PRACTICE • Prompt: Since you want to be a good grandchild and because your grandma asked you to, you are going to write your grandma a letter about your life now-a-days. She cannot believe the clothes you are wearing, the places you are going and how much everything costs! In the letter include: • 3 Places you go, what you do there and how much it costs • 2 pieces of clothing you have to have and how much they cost (think- she might buy them for your birthday!) • Other information about your young-person’s life she would find interesting
