  36. Purpose of Revelation • To do Tadabbur (ponder upon its verses) and Tazakkur (to receive admonition) • In other words, fulfill the rights of the Qur’an.

  37. Rights of the Qur’an • Believe in it • Read it • Understand it • Ponder its verses • Act upon it • Use it for curing the diseases of our heart (to strengthen our faith and to help us in remaining steadfast); • Spread it www.understandquran.com

  38. On the day of Judgment “And the Messenger (Muhammad pbuh) will say: O my Lord! surely my people have treated this Quran as a forsaken thing” And the scholars say that if we don’t fulfill any of the rights of the Qur’an, we are leaving it to that degree. Do we want to be among those people against whom the Prophet pbuh will put up the case.

  39. To fulfill these rights… • We have to start with understanding the Qur’an to fulfill these rights. • Qur’an was revealed so that we worship Allah by understanding and implementing it. But people made its recitation alone as worship (and left the rest of the rights)!!!

  40. Reminders • Remember the Du’aa • Don’t forget the 7 home works • 5 min. study (at the start of the day) • 5 min. recitation from Mushaf (Qur’an) without translation • 5 min. recitation from memory • 30 seconds study for 5 times (preferably before or after Salah) from the pocket book / POSTERS • 1 min. discussion about the lesson with your friend • Recite different Surahs in the Salah • Listen to the cassettes • Pray to Allah after almost every Salah that Allah give you & your friends to continue this work.

  41. Be ready for the next lesson! Allah has chosen you to learn Qur’an this Ramadan. Thank Him & don’t reject his selection by walking away! Don’t give up!
