About the APS The APS is the largest professional association for psychologists in Australia, representing more than 20,000 members. • The APS is committed to advancing psychology as a discipline and profession. • Provides guidance and support in many ways for its 2,000+ student members. • Undertakesadvocacy and lobbying with government and other groups for the benefit of students, members and the communities they serve. • Delivers high-quality Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs.

  3. Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) The PsyBA is the government-appointed regulatory body for psychologists. It is a separate organisation from the APS. The functions of the Boardinclude: • Registration of psychologists and provisional psychologists • Handling notifications, complaints, investigations and disciplinary hearings • Maintaining an online register of psychologists • Find out more at www.psychologyboard.gov.au “The registration board”
